Oh I do Like to Be Beside the Seaside!

July 4, 2016

Damnvan1, Hubs, Benji dog and I are enjoying a break beside the seaside. We are actually staying in Llanbedrog close to Abersoch on the Llyn Penninsula, Wales. Yesterday we went for a walk. A loooooong walk! We bought a map so that we wouldn’t get lost but of course we did! The excuse is that many of the footpaths shown on the Ordinance survey map were very overgrown and un passable. We trudged along and eventually found the way to our destination.

imageThe beach at Llanbedrog is beautiful. It is quintessentially British ( I nearly said English but we are in Wales!) The tide was way out leaving a huge expanse of sand for Benji dog to run, roll and paddle on. He had a great time going home to smell of wet dog. Not the best aroma in a small campervan.

Set at the back of the beach is a row of well maintained beach huts. I just love the colours of these huts on a summer beach. Not many seemed to be in use this weekend but I guess that they are handy for storing wet suits, boogie boards and tea making paraphernalia.image

The view across the Bay named St Tudwal’s Road, towards the mountains of Snowdonia is stunning. We had a competion to name the mountains. I lost as I could only name Snowdon. A happy, sunny exhausting day out.
