St David’s Pembroke

St David's Pembroke

Damnvan1 has had a good rest, some surgery (planned cambelt replacement) and a recent trip to South Wales. The trip was amazingly good with fantastic weather and a great camp site. We walked some of the Pembroke Coastal Path which is relatively easy and amazing views for little effort. The walking was helped by the brill bus service provided by the Celtic Coaster Minibus service. This bus runs along the coast and facilitates walking by running back to the mini city of St David’s, all for the price of £1 each-a true bargain.
St David’s can only be described as a bijoux jewel in the crown of South Wales. The cathedral is small by most standards and set in a hollow. It has obviously stood for many centuries and is a beautiful, holy place to the glory of God.
Close to the cathedral is a hand made chocolate shop. I adore chocolate! I decided to treat myself to just three chocolates which I chose with great care and relish. They were wrapped beautifully and tied with a ribbon. I carried them back to Damnvan1 to enjoy. On arrival the chocolates had melted into one big blob! I put them in the fridge and waited….. Much later I took them out and nibbled trying to sort the peppermint cream from the chilli chocolate from the caramel. Delicious. Long live chocolate!
