Walking The West Highland Way

Walking The West Highland Way

We travelled down to Loch Lomand and shock horror we have booked into a hotel! We decided to let Damnvan1 have a rest on the hotel carpark, and aside from that the hotel is a real bargain. No cooking, washing up or cleaning for three days! Yippee!! I’m sure Damnvan1 won’t mind.
We took a ferry across Loch Lomand, the largest expanse of water in Britain, to Rowardennan. We then walked “some” of the West Highland Way well six miles to be exact. The West Highland Way runs from North of Glasgow to Fort William a total of 95 glorious miles. Husband has walked it a few times but I’ve never quite been fit enough. Maybe next year…….
We took some liquid refreshment in the Rowardennan hotel which was most welcome, and full of very fit people walking the whole of the West Highland Way.
We returned on the ferry in beautiful sunshine and sun bathed on the lovely green loch bank. I had a great sleep until a child scored a goal right on my head. Happy days.
