Scottish Highlands

We have arrived in the Scottish Highlands in all it’s wonderful glory. The scenery is breath taking helped by the sun. It is very noisy due to sheep,Cuckoos,Owls and tumbling waterfalls. We have camped for two days at the end of Glen Coe and just stand and stare at the crisp, clear mountain tops.
We walked for 5 miles to an old pub tucked away in the mountains called Clachaig Inn well visited by climbers and hikers. It is highly recommended and I can personally say try the steak and ale pie. What a fantastic Sunday afternoon.
This is the most husband has walked since his foot injury so I am hoping that he specialist boot factory in Richmond have waived their magic wand.
Today we have driven to Glen Affric so I hope that this lovely weather holds a little longer and we can explore down the Glen tomorrow.

Hello Bill and Barbara, We are glad you enjoyed Glencoe and glad that you had good weather. We have fond memories of weekends of rain and clag too. We are thinking about a van – we envy you your travels. Best wishes from David, Kate, Judith, Rachael and Bella (97) in Kinlochrannoch where it is a lovely evening.
